(Face Palm). I replaced my house battery this morning and then noticed at lunch time something smelling. I disconnected the battery and realized I had reversed the connection. I disconnected the house battery.

I'm concerned about turning on the car or connecting the battery back.

Can someone let me know what I should do to avoid more damage, if any already.

Thanks!

Ronic

Well as long as you didn’t turn on the ignition the main system should be fine. There is a solenoid/relay to isolate the battery.

Thanks for the response. Yes, the main system seems to be ok. When I plug it to the wall outlet the dc components works. However, when I unplug it the dc components are not working. I've read that there is a fuse for the house battery which may be fried. I'll have to take a look at it and hopefully replacing it is all that needs to be done.
