Im looking at a 1964 samba to buy, the m code plate seems to be all blank except for the dates on top left, country of destination on bottom left , 2414 in centre bottom and chassis number on bottom right.
Is this right ?? Even on the birth certificate it says "keine daten vorhanden" |

There are enough examples of two or only one Mcode on a plate in the Gallery. Since you are in Malta and that area probably did not need any special Mcodes from Germany to get shipped in, it would be then possible that no Mcodes could happen. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available!

Looks like the real deal to me. A Yugoslavian delivered deluxe with no options. _________________ .

No options! Neat!
Here in the US, almost all buses have N. Am spec options. |

This really seams to be a great deal!
A Yugoslavian type 241 (Samba), produced on July 1st 1964, with Pearl White upper part, Mouse Grey lower part and Basalt Grey interior - a very, very rare color combination even on a deluxe!!
I also own two 1967 Yugoslavian delivered deluxes, I have a friend who ownes another 1967 Yugoslavian delivered deluxe and another two Yugoslavian delivered split buses and I'm very interested in the history of all these buses actually back then delivered to a communist country!
Do you have some other pictures of this one?
What was its history? Where is it now? Has it been restored in the meantime? |
