What’s the trick to install the chrome trim around the license light housing above the rear license plate? I have the 4 clips that slide into the chrome trim , they fit in the slots but they don’t lock in.

You need to reach in with a pair of Longnose pliers and twist the clips so they kinda crimp in. It’ll be hard because the stainless.

Everything about the license light housing is kind of a PITA. The main clips are annoying, the end clips are annoying, and the housing-to-decklid seal is super annoying.

It was a pita…had to remove the entire housing, then the lights’ clips are somewhat rigid so,hard to bend to keep the trim tight. Got it done though!
