Been looking at pix today to verify my connections. Bus has been under construction for 5 years now.... Getting close.

I am curious. The starter has the POST for #30 connections. and the wires have the loop connector. Plus 2 wires have female connections for what I assume are for the #50.

Question here is my starter has 2 spades, one on each side. Are they both #50?

This picture (not mine) has 2 wires but both are on one side. Does it matter?

Campers seem to have several large ring connectors plus two 1/4 spades. I believe that it’s several wires connected to two places

If your starter has 2x 1/4" male spades on the solenoid (like in the photo) it doesn't matter where the female spades connect. Both are #50. I always but the heavy wire on the top one but I don't think it matters.

Not all solenoids are the same internally, some use that second terminal as an isolated power source for various things that need power only when cranking, like a ballast resistor bypass on cars that use that type of ignition.

On VW's they used to be all terminals activate the starter, but it's possible a replacement starter might have one that doesn't, you have a 50/50 chance, if it doesn't work try the other terminal.

Typically one is #50 and the other is unnamed. Put the big Red/Blk wire on whichever one makes the starter work and the smaller Red/Wht wire on the other.

my solenoid has an extra male spade connector (bottom of photo).

never had a wire connected to it.

and, i know my connections are substandard. you try soldering while lying on your back on the driveway.
