$24k Sold
Going to a dealer.
Look for a flip in the near future.

It will probably show up on BAT..........because more and more dealers are there.

It just sold on BaT. The market spoke. Why would the dealer put it back on BaT when he was just the high bidder?

Because that's what dealers do. A dealer way overbought this pretty average 73 TR6 for $29k back in September 2022, which is show-car TR6 money. And he's trying to get his money back 3 months later, which I think he'll have a tough time doing

We are entering a recession, discretionary spending items, like collector cars, will likely decrease in value, at least in the short term. Dealers aren’t into holding cars for the long term. My point being, if he wants to make money, he better change the venue.

$22,500 Sold without reserve.
I think we can confidently say that we are not in a price bubble.

I was expecting 15-18k. It shows that buyers are still willing to dig deep when they are presented with a decent solid car! Really nice color for a Ghia!

I really does with the exception of the split dash.
I'm sure the Odometer has rolled at least once.
The pics if the maintenance book in the gallery show it was serviced at 42,500 miles sometime in 1977.
Overall the body and pans look very solid. Great color too Cool

I wonder how they kept the seats so nice? I guess they must have always used covers?

The reserve is off after an $8k bid.
IMO this one is really a diamond in the rough.
Just really solid looking throughout.

Shipping costs to the East Coast make it tough on these West Coast cars.

Very well bought even including shipping and BAT cut there’s room to play.

I'm the new owner of the Blood Orange '72 car. We're finalizing payment and shipping arrangements early next week. This is my first VW, been a Datsun Fairlady Roadster guy for years, but I've always had a soft spot for Ghias. I'm looking forward to receiving and enjoying this car.[/img]

Based on what we could see in the pictures, you got one heck of a deal.
