I emailed GoWesty, but while I'm waiting I thought I'd throw the question out here in hopes some helpful soul has their poptop up right now...

If you have the GoWesty branded Acrylic poptop canvas like the one in the first photo, could you please get me the measurements in the second photo shown with red lines/arrows?

Quite condemning. ^^^^

Can you provide some details on why it fits like garbage?

Is yours the older staple in design or the newer screw in design?

Maybe some photos showing the garbage fit?

Some details would really be helpful.

I've noticed over the years that extreme feedback like this often comes down to installation error...... no matter the brand.

I had three issues with fitment on my 87:

1. The sides were too tight (vertically) but only at the midway point along the length of the side. When opening the pop top, several screws (near the bed pivot point) along the bottom extrusion tore through my sheet metal.

2. The sides were far too long (horizontally). I had to fold it under the lower extrusion seam in the rear corners.

3.. The entire front panel was extremely loose. I ended up folding over the canvas several times and securing under the top extrusion to take up the slack.

I installed, removed, and installed, several times to adjust fitment and all ended in the same result.

The more I thought about how tricky it would be to control tolerance of the canvas, the less irritated I got and thus I’ve accepted it. I would recommend going with the stretchier fabric options.

Why do you want these measurements? Any answer is fine, I'm just curious. Thanks.

Need measurements to determine if I can adapt this westy canvas for another style roof.
