I didn't say "The Whole" thing, just the majority. It's usually the immature that are the most vocal and it's sometimes difficult to sift through the trash talk to get to the folks that really are there to help. Just my opinion. We typically don't have that problem here and for that I am grateful for that. |

Samba is the best! People here are mostly good natured and giving. Lots of good opinions and information, thanks Everett and Jen!
Taco world is fun too, like being in the big city after living in the country; fast, lots of people involved, probably the same amount of negative folks as anywhere percentage wise.
Now, you want to visit a bunch of grumpy old men go to MTFCA forums But I love them all! |

Too old to be a boomer?!?!? Hang in there, keep active or you will turn to dust.
I didnt even know there were two boomer categories with the younger being called generation jones. I guess these are the ones too young to be drafted which makes SO much sense. Even easier life, more entitled, less empathy, bigger ego, self centered etc. While not every one in the age group acts like the typical joneser it easy see who they are because they are sure to let you know how great things used to be. I guess for this group anyone who could have purchased a fat chick off the lot is a joneser.
I think us Xers were the last group to have shop in school? _________________ Grapes of Wrath $200 Engine Rebuild

I was telling someone just today that in addition to using search feature here just pick one of the long time members and look at the topics they’ve started. So taking my own advice I picked this guy because he is reliable and knowledgeable and this topic dovetails very nicely into what is already being discussed. Ck it out

Yeah this is a cool website, and still pretty active for a forum, which is kind of surprising. Most of the users are ancient, but that's good, because that just means they have more experience and can give good advice. I feel like generation Jones is like those folks that were kids in the 60's 70's, whereas real boomers were kids in the 50's and 60's, so like real boomers went to woodstock/fought in vietnam, and jonesers just did sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll... I'm not a boomer, and I'm not an xer, so that makes me a rarity here, I guess. Although, I was raised by a boomer and a joneser, since my stepmom was 15 years younger than my dad and still considered a boomer... somehow.
I'm doing baby stuff on my VW and nobody calls me a noob, so that's pretty nice, too, since nobody taught me anything and I've had to learn it all online, the Samba has been a big help. I ALWAYS check this site when I retorque my lug nuts 5-bolt pattrn! Lol don't wanna overtorque anything. |
