Looking to replace front and rear shocks on my 1967 VW Beetle. Have coil over shocks in front. Oil shocks in rear. Have a 2276cc 4.12 r/p racing transmission, racing axles. want to make sure I have enough support for this setup. Open to all suggestions.

Thanks

Koni red oil shocks. Once you get them adjusted where you want them, they are great. Adjusting them is a pain, you have to unbolt one end of the shock. If you want more, easier adjustment, try these:

Best pair of shocks I've ever put on a beetle. Now have several friends running them, no complaints at all. They will make them adjustable for compression and rebound also.

Koni reds all around. You have to pay some, but they work very, very well!

If you dont want to go Konis or Billstein, then KYB Gas adjust on the rear and KYB Excels on the front. BUT the specific model will depend on how lowered you are. Different valving on different models and this is where a lot of folks mess up. The gas adjust gives a slight raise and are way too stiff for the front, but work well on the rear.

And look at sway bars and camber compensators...

Do the Konis come in different lengths for lowered bugs?

I agree! The Koni's are well worth it. Do it right and you won't regret it. Cool
