I couldnt buy that thing even if I had the spare change... I'm in the planning stages of the Huntington to Hinkle section of the Union Pacific, set between Sept. 2 1952 and mid 1955.... they simply didnt have such a real-life example of a bus running on the line or any of the local branch lines. Gotta keep it real. _________________ Sounding like a broken record as to why You should be measuring protein during harvest in order to better your agronomic practices. |

Here's another look at VW's and trains. I saw the driver of the cabrio get out and put a penny on the track. |

I went through the model train museum in Balboa Park last weekend. They have quite a few VW buses scattered throughout the layouts. For our train/VW buffs it is worth the time to visit the museum. Didn't spot any BD's however. I'll have to drop one into a layout the next time I'm there. JJ, are you cool with letting me make up a BDM logo'ed panel for the clandestine mission?
Here are my latest HO scale VW creations. The cars are Brekina's, and Busch makes. The Bosch logo bus is a BD:

Did he get stuck in the cow-catcher? I don't see him in the photo. |

Naw, he met the young woman driving the green cabrio on the other side of the tracks. That's them sittin' together on the bench at the station. Don't know if I can get them to pose for a picture or not. I think their working on one of those 3rd rate romances. |

There should be a few pictures in the gallery of a real rail bus. _________________ Sounding like a broken record as to why You should be measuring protein during harvest in order to better your agronomic practices. |
