Ok i have a 71 deluxe i cant figure out how to remove the side cover? i believe thats what its called. On one side its what covers the sliding door rail, the other side its the same but doesnt cover anything. i removed the screws under it...but cant see any others... if you have a link on how to that would be great!! thanks guys....

i searched couldnt find anything...

Bentley manual. You may wish you handn't worked on that without pictures and Bentley first. It isn't intuitive on a 1971 the first time you do it. There is a long rod that wedges it together. You have to loosen that long rod/bar and move it to release it.

Don't know if a '71 is different from later years, but on my buses the top edge is tightly wedged into place. You need to take a rubber hammer or something and beat the cover upward to free it.

Beat it up on the driver side and loosen the retaining strip on the slider side. Plan on finding rust.
