HVAC cabin air filtration

I did a couple searches and do not come up with much.

As I'm coming close to buttoning my dash, and grill up at the tail end of my 6 month rebuild process...

I'm thinking I want to be able to filter the air coming into the HVAC.

I already have a couple strips of this stuff in the rear 1/4 window plastic "cartridges" as the old stuff was totally dead.

Yet when thinking about filtering where the air comes into the HVAC... Few ideas come to mind, being as the scoop is exposed to the elements in some fashion..

Anyone fab up a air filtration setup keeping the HVAC system clean, and clean the crud outta the air before it comes into your van?


Also, that crude crappy design of the air screen.. what oh what were they thinking?????? it does not even fit right.
