I'm looking for a rubber metric oil seal 10mm ID X 16mm OD x 3mm Height. Its for the shaft in a butterfly valve. SVX actually. I've tried but I can't find this seal. Can you help me locate this seal?
From my other post: I'm looking for the axial shaft seal for the IRIS valve. I think this seal is the source of the oil pooling on top of the engine. If you have replaced this seal, where did you buy it?
SVX Inductive Butterfly valve under intake manifold:

Thanks for the lead, but they did not have this seal. Any SVX owners ever replace this seal, its leaking oil onto the top of the engine. _________________ 1987 Syncro Westfalia, stock (bought 1994)

They have a 4mm seal.. you can easily remove 1mm in several different ways. |

Remove 1mm, good idea. I can do that. I'm just having a hard time believing that I am the first person trying to replace this seal. I've taken apart many SVX intake manifolds and they ALL show signs of leaking oil at this seal. C'mon SVXers did you replace this seal or just ignore it. _________________ 1987 Syncro Westfalia, stock (bought 1994)

Wait what?
the whole intake recycles oil from the heads via breather hoses, right?
I had this exact problem, had a functioning PCV valve (replaced it anyways), and replaced the whole IRIS system with a used one from an SVX forum. No more leaks. I can't remember why I replaced the whole system instead of just the seal, but I was hunting several running problems at the time.
Anyways try Heuberger Subaru
or firstsubaruparts.com
I can't find the exact part quickly but this diagram at least points to the right diagram:

Thanks for the link to the part. Subaru thinks this is one part, the VALVE ASSEMBLY-INTAKE CONTROL and wants $270. The seal needed should be like $5. I have a new PCV valve but looking the system over is a good idea and I will. _________________ 1987 Syncro Westfalia, stock (bought 1994)

I've ordered a similar seal 10x16x4, harder material than original. The good news, Isaac at The Seal Connection in San Leandro, CA said he can make the seal, yes make new seals. About $75 for 10 seals. I share this because it was news to me that a local supplier had the ability to manufacture seals. _________________ 1987 Syncro Westfalia, stock (bought 1994)

Please clarify, did you get the original rubber 10x16x3 or the more available 10x16x4. I'll buy your extra 10x16x3 rubber seal. Where did you find this seal? _________________ 1987 Syncro Westfalia, stock (bought 1994)
