Hello,
I al currently sanding my bus down for paint, is there a way i can remove the air vent grids on the front?
I think its a lot more easy to paint when there are off..
Are they factory glued or welded? Can't see it when i look in the air vent cover.. _________________ '66 vw splitbus project:

Bad idea, they are welded to the roof and are not removable. _________________ WANTED:

Someone was offering replacement mesh for sale, but unless yours are damaged, leave them alone. On the buses I've painted, I've scrubbed off all of the old dirt and paint - inside and out - with a stainless steel wire brush. On the most recent bus I painted, I media-blasted them. Be sure to clean the hell out of the inside, or when you paint, it will blow crap everywhere. _________________ -Thom
