Just wondering where people get their parts from mostly. Thatโ€™ll help me know who keeps them the most stock.

People are price driven , not service driven, so that strategy may give different results than desired

Price driven to a degree, the quality also has to be present.

CB Performance
JBugs
Wolfsburg West
Chirco

I used to get some stuff through Rock Auto but seems like they only do $$$ priority shipping these days.

And some I order through O'Reilly, like FelPro cork valve cover gaskets.

Generally rockauto for me, but not that much for my beetle. Just convenient since I have a bunch of old cars and one things get in the weeds,I go to specific vendors (Lang's for my Model T, LMC for my bullnose F150, etc). For my Beetle, I like the classified ads here and Wolfsburg West

Depends on exactly what I am working on.

If it's my 2012 Golf.....a fairly decent mix of ECS Tuning and FCP Euro. A little of AutohausAZ.

For my 412/type 4 stuff....I even find a few premium parts like relays and bearings at FcP and Autohauz. But mainly Rockauto. I do not buy crap parts so the nice thing about Rockauto is if they have what I need they generally have it in numerous flavors. It pays to know your parts by brand and quality if you shop Rockauto.

A couple of large items from the Type 4 store.

A fair amount I buy locally at NAPA.

A very small amount mostly fairly generic stuff.....about equal from each....but smallest quantities of any of my go to places....from Cip1, Auto Atlanta, ISP west, Summit racing and Jegs.

Yes. That's what I like about ECS, FCP and AHAZ. Original equipment parts in VW boxes.

On certain parts like waterpumps and brake parts you can get 0E VW from Rockauto.

Since you did not specify makes....
In order:
Rockauto for the fleet maintenance and mediocre projects
Jbugs for the Ghia and Thing
ThingParts.com for the Thing
Cruiser TEQ for three Landcruisers
LMC Truck Parts and Ebay for the old ass Ford
After that is OEM suppiers. Toyota and Honda often have huge parts sales and those are our DDs.

If you only want VWs here are my top 5 in order:
JBugs
Thingparts
CIP1
TheThingShop.net
Westcoast Metric

I'm not price driven but I am quality driven. I will search and then search some more to find a new old stock part preferably OEM. Cost is secondary.

While Iโ€™m always looking for a good deal, I still support my local shop, Vee Parts, since I donโ€™t want it to go away! Even though some times ordering online may be cheaper. Cool

Typically, I try to get genuine parts so I try to buy local from a couple club members. Or the samba classifieds.

Other than that, most of my shopping is done at Bus Depot and Wolfsburg West. I've never had an issue from either of them.

Europa Parts GTI and MB

Parts Geek, Rock Auto, Napa GMC Envoy XUV

Highway 83 Suzuki, Parts Geek, Rock Auto, Napa Tracker

I struggle with the Ghia's as I cannot find consistently decent parts.
Bug City, Airhead Parts, House of Ghia, Wolfsburg West, ISP, West Coast Metric and of course old faithful The Samba are my usual go to's

^^^ These guys are great and well known as a quality shop in Oregon. After all these years. I had no idea they had previously owned parts. Adding them to my rolodex of parts source.
