Great read. I just read the book during vacation and enjoyed it. And that is coming from someone that does not read too many books cover to cover. I have his 2nd book and started to read it but haled up. Will save that for another time. tj

Does anyone know, will 33.00 get both books mailed to my door? assuming 15.00 for the first and 18.00 for the 2nd. This will be a great holiday gift from my Wife for me! Wink

I'm not sure if anyone posted this video to this thread. I looked but didn't see it.

I mailed him $31 plus my picture and he ended up mailing me back $2. He said I overpaid as he had a special price if both books are purchased at the same time.

Just got my books today and all I can say is that John is one class act! He wrote an inscription on the back of 'A Bus'. Not just a thanks for the purchase, but my own personal story about ice fishing. I sent him a pic of my bus on the SST and he related to the snow. Pretty cool! I'm glad that there are dudes like John around still.

Merry Christmas to me. Laughing

Pleased I found this thread, John Lago sounds a top kinda guy and thes books look just the kind of thing to keep me going over winter...

One problem I'm in the UK and John Lago doesn't seem to cater for the international buyer on his website...

If I paypal some funds, would one of you guys be prepared to place the order for me for both books and post them to the UK?

Thanks in advance

Gavin

Bob, the 2 books arrived yesterday (with the personal inscription in the front cover from John). Just want to say a big thank you for putting yourself out to help a stranger "over the pond".
This is the VW community at its best Smile

Now just got to make some time to read them Exclamation

Just had to add to the list. Met John a while back at a show in the mountains of Arkansas. Long conversation. Super interesting. Bought his first book. Ran into him again at a couple of more shows. Bought his second book. Everyone into busses, and I mean everyone, needs to meet John at least once and read both of his books at least twice. Hopefully he will write more. I get a snow covered bus Xmas card from him every year.

Never heard of him being on the internet but hope he is and is reading this string.

From reading some of his written correspondence with a mutual friend, he has no use for the interwebs.
