Hallo,
The Bus is an original tin top Westy, we bought in Long Island 10 years ago.
Interior was in extremly good shape but we could not stand with the narrow bed (we are over 25 years old). So I build three interiors in the last 7 years to find an Optimum for us.
The kitchen is inspired by the 67/68 Busses and the cabinet under the side window has the same dimension like the kitchen of the late Westys.
We have a 3kg propane bottle under the Stone, a 9gal water tank with a three stage water filter system from ALP and a petrol heater all in the "dead corner" of the cabinet. Fridge is between the seats and a self made compact 100Amp batterie under the rear seat.
My wife cries for a small pop top in the middle of the Bus. I have a repro fibre rooof for the Splitty and I can no longer avoid to assemble it for the next trip

Yours
Michael

Hi Michael, just logged in at lunch and saw your post.

Could you point out which ALP filter system it is?

You can add the pre filter. It is a modular system.
Sorry forget it

M$B safely arrived on the Islet of Longhorns and we are enjoying their company here. The1970 is truly a beauty, great to see it back home!

The Volvos are not jealous of her and made space in the driveway.

Morning,
Is there anybody very near/in NY where we can park our Bus tomorrow safe. Must not be an overnight stay. Safe parking would help.

Thanks
Michael and Bernadette

Hi, thanks for your offer. At the Moment We are in Calverston and want to Go to NY with our Bus.
Current idea is to drive to St.George and take the ferry to Manhattan
So Newburgh does not help for parking. May be after leaving NY in the evening. But then we have to look for a campgroud outside NY

If you were camping in the bus, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind.

Hi,
After crossing NYC on sunday we are now near Harrisburgh,PE.
To drive with the Bay thru NYC was an fantastic experience. Without any trouble, we crossed the Manhattan bridge, the Broklyn Bridge, parked 500ft near Times Square, drive Broadway, 6th Ave, Greenage Village and had breakfast at Poppys in Williamsburg.
What an epic ride

Now are located east of Hartisburgh, PE. Using only smal back roads cost a lot of time, but we meet my people for a short talk and I think it is worth....our right way to travel
