Well I like OE. No offense to anyone who likes to deck out there van to a new trendy look. To each his/her own. This post was not submitted in order to start a debate. What I am looking for is I want my van to look as close to original as possible and I would be grateful if someone could post pictures or tell me where to find pictures of OE wheel covers for my 82 westy. _________________ 82 Westy: Air is cool! |

This Camper has what looks like the original Westy hub caps for your year.

The center caps have a silhouett of a castle on them. Regular early vanagons came with hub caps that looked like "wire" wheels.
When I first got my Westy the hub caps where so beat up I through them away, Turns out they where the original ones. _________________ My Art:

Here are 2 types of Vanagon hubcaps.

I've also seen the standard bay window hubcaps on early vanagon westies with chrome trim rings.
I think all three of those options are "proper". _________________ This thread SUCKS!!! |

Thanks for the picts guys. It turns out that the van came with two of the spoke style that earthmuffin posted a link to. Actuallly one is pretty broken up so now Im in the market for 3. Or I was actually thinking of going with the baby-moon style with beauty rings. At this point I have other concerns with the engine that need attending to when the thaw comes. _________________ 82 Westy: Air is cool! |
