Ok, dumb question, but the levers on both my heater boxes are off. I bought new lever/spring kits but for the life of me, can't figure out where the spring connects on each end. Anyone have a pic of a complete heater box for a 1600DP? Thanks

Scott

The spring is to be connected to the chassis in front of the heaterbox. Without the spring you can open the flap but you will have a hard time to shut the heat off. The cable would have to push the lever back in the closed position and that may or may not work.
There is supposed to be something like a hook to attach the spring to but I couldn't find mine. You may have to look around and find a convenient place to attach them.

I don't have a photo, but the spring attaches to the forward facing portion of the lower engine cooling tin. There's a small slit that it goes through, and it attaches to a small hole in each lever just opposite where the cable attaches.
