I ordered the Eastwood puller, it worked well, esp for the price. It made a small mark on the door but I'm in the process of doing the body work now, so no biggie. I'm getting ready to install the new pins. Do drive them in with a non-marring hammer? Seems like a really tight fit...which is good.

Do you have link or a picture of the puller you used?

I used a rubber mallet on mine for most of the way and then for the last little bit used the old hinge pin inserted into the top of the pin to knock it in the rest of the way.

Search the feedback on the Eastwood tool. Some have commented on challenges with using that specific tool.
I have mine currently available for rent (shameless plug).

I'd like to tackle this job, but worry about what size pin to install. First oversize? Second oversize? How do you "ream" out the hinge to accept either one? How do you know you've reamed enough so that you don't go pounding in the new pin and it will only go halfway?

Anyone done this job? What was your experience?

Tim
