Hello,
i'm going to see a split bus this week end with safari, how to tell if they are OG. They are supposed to be on this bus since 1980. |

the easiest way is to look at where the latches attach. og are more of a rectangle while many repops are triangular. The profile of the frames are also different. og are not flat on the bottom of the 'U'. _________________ Sounding like a broken record as to why You should be measuring protein during harvest in order to better your agronomic practices. |

The windows appear to be OG. The SIGLA glass is a dead giveaway. Same thing with the wingnuts. The brackets are more than likely something fabbed up. They are, however, pretty stout and somewhat cool looking. If you decide you don't want to us them, I will trade you for a set of repro mounts. What does the rest of the bus look like? _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

Great Score. They are og. Look pretty clean as well. I sand blasted mine at low pressure and they cleaned up really nice. Use low pressure or a suction feed sandblaster. New safety glass for mine cost $100. My og glass was smashed, but I used it for a pattern. You can find any missing parts through the classifieds here.
One of the best investments in my bus, and yes they leak. _________________ 7 air-cooled VW's |
