I have a beautiful set of dual Type 3 dual Solex 32(pdsit?) carbs & their matching manifolds etc that I want to use on an upright Type 1 based motor.
The VW Type 3 center pull linkage's right control rod wants to go right through the generator stand.
I ran a set of these years ago and cant remember what linkage worked.
This car is a sedate old school cruiser so I didn't want to get some huge billet monster lingage set up.
Anyone using them how did you do it ?

THese carbs in a type 1 application would use taller manifolds. If I remember correctly, with the tall manifolds you can use the same linkage used on Dual Kads. Here is a pic of an old set I once had. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=43023

Would it be wise to use a modified Berg linkage with custom rods between linkage and carbs?

It's an old topic, but same question...

A good friend of mine has complete Solex 32 PDSIT carbs and matching Type 3 manifolds.
He wants to use them on a typical Type 1 1600 bug engine, but doesn't have linkage for them.

Any solutions to this problem ?
How about some Scat centerpull linkage for Kadrons ?
Does he need to buy taller manifolds and which one's ?

Greetings,
Doktor
