Moving along the street just a few hundred yards you can find the sweet old buildings that are visible to the upper right in the vintage pic.
the one with the telltale balconies in the middle and the castle like towers/roofs to the right.
sorry for getting that much off topic, but
sometimes this modern computer crap is nice...

I don't know the logo on that first postcard.
It sort of looks like a loaf of bread to me but that could be wrong
