Don't think Reutter would have been trimming out buses, since they were already overloaded with 356 production.
Drauz sounds reasonable enough, they built the bodies for the
53 up Ford Fk1000 (Transit).
Btw the Dkw Monza has Convertible D ( 356 Drauz) seats and several other 356 parts like hood hinges. it all comes together, at some point and place...
I think that both Reutter and Drauz would have added their company badges to the MHZ barndoor buses for sure. I am not sure if Dannenhauer had a prominent badge that early ( ie pre 54, since the bus has no rear bumper)

I have another picture of this van which i posted already in this thread.
On this pic you'll clearly see that this van is a 1950 model.
