Question - can a toll bar for a type 1 beetle also be used on a 1974 VW Thing? |

glad you clarified that, because the answer changes. yes, a beetle tow bar will fit. No a beetle ROLLbar won't fit (cuts across the rear door openings, making it hard to get in.) _________________ OG JHC

blj: Isn't a toll bar a pub that you have to pay to in and out? They have a little booth with a lady that takes the money? _________________ It's a Southern Thing, 73, stock.

All I kept thinking is wtf is a tool bar? Just put the tools in the trunk. |

technically, a toll bar is the piece of wood that drops down in front of your car and won't let you travel anywhere in new jersey with correct change.
you're thinking of a strip bar. _________________ OG JHC

blj: You are right again. I guess the "trigger" word for me was "bar."
Anyway, its late and I must go get a drink. BTW: I naver had had to strip to get into a bar. I must be missing something. Good God, that would be greatly discomforting to the others. _________________ It's a Southern Thing, 73, stock.

To clarify the good information already supplied: a standard beetle tow bar will work, but a super beetle tow bar is different, and will not work. Just be sure you know which one you're dealing with. |
