Live in Pa. and I'm restoring a 62 bug, found a lot of parts suppliers but all on the west coast. Tired of waiting 10 days and paying high shipping. Are there any suppliers on the east coast that can save on shipping cost and maybe a 3-5 day wait? |

Peek performance in Maryland:

Now, regardless of whether east or west, there are some vendors that use drop shipment (or called something like that). What it means is that they may be local, but that goods are shipped from another place, most of the time Cali.
When you place an order with a store you might want to ask them where it will be comming from. No point on paying extra for the same slow service. |

Thanks for the info, I was told that one of the west coast suppliers has a wharehouse in Harrisburg Pa. and that you can get next day delivery. Will let you know when I find out who it is |

There is always Mid America Motorworks (www.mamotorworks.com) in
Effingham, Illinois. Fairly close with good inventory. |

There's a local shop in Philadelphia called Savich's. Don't know if the shipping prices will be overly competitive, but it depends on what you need. They might already have the parts in stock and you can go pick them up without any shipping. Where do you live on the East Coast? Maybe someone knows of a shop in your neighborhood. _________________ www.cjvws.com

Savich is about 15 mins from you then. Give them a call at (610)259-2567. I've used them a lot and had no problems. They have a large inventory of used parts and new parts and usually have everything I need. I picked up some door panels, wheel bearings, and some other odds and ends from them about a month ago with no problems.
