Ok, I have a 68 which had been in an accident at some point in it's life on the passenger side front fender/headlight section. It looks like the headlight and bullet signal were replace along with some very questionable body work on the fender. I'm not sure if this section of fender was replaced or simply pulled out and puttied.
Now for my question, the right turn signal flashes twice as fast as the left turn signal. What would cause that?
We also have a pretty serious gas leak which I believe is also from this bad repair job. I'm not quite sure I understand how the fuel vent line works, it looks like it runs from the driver's side front of the tank across to the passenger side (mine then connects via hose to a subout at the interior fender) then something happens in the wheel well that looks like it connects back into the filler area. Does anyone have any pictures of how this is supposed to work? Every left hand turn leaves the passenger gassed by toxic fumes. I'm not sure but I think we may be getting fuel in that line, does that sound right?
Please be patient with me, we've only had the car since december and have a lot to learn about her. This is our first Ghia so it is a bit of a foreign language. |
