Well, it is a Stock 1986 VanagonGL, not a westie, but right now we have 2 names for her, and we are trying to figure out which one fits.
The first one we came up with was "GrunHilda", the second was "Gertrude". _________________ Any opinions stated here are my own, otherwise someone else would have said them. |

Twelve years ago when I bought my bus, my co-workers named it the "Mystery machine". The name stuck, so I kept it. Now I have a son who is 30 months or so, and in his limited vocabulary is "s'cool bus". That may be the new name as the bus hits puberty in my ownership. |

My 91 Westy is named "Fafner", honoring one of my favorite writers-Julio Cortazar-who just happened to own a bay Westy back in the 70s and wrote this nice short story about it:

My '89 vanagon GL weekender (bed but no pop top) is sometimes called the red monster, especially when it is in need of repairs. My parents had a '76 bay 7 passenger that was a nasty lime color we called "the pickle" or "picklemobile" |

When I first got my 82 Westy I could not for the life of me decide weather it was a girl or a boy. So I named her Lola. Just like the song. |

well, i've had 3 busses with names, and one that i didnt get attached to.
sold last week: The turtlebus, a 71 muralized camper.
burnt up (check those gas lines!): Delilah, a 78 people mover
currently: An 87 westy we JUST named China Cat. It is black with a white nose panel, so we were thinking panda... the name ling ling came up, but i said no. Panda van was in the running, but it wasnt personal enough. so China Cat it is.
China Cat
China Cat!
now its time to buy the corresponding dead bear to sit on my dashboard...
peace. _________________ Champagne Edition Roadtrip monster "Juakali"
