Its obviously sticker #14 and is $8 per sticker (actually a water slide decal)

You should be able to get the other stickers/decals from Wolfsburgwest.com

Peace and joy to ye all..... Laughing

Been awhile since I've been here. Sold my '64 Beetle a couple of years ago, so I haven't checked in for a long time. I am the guy with those decals on the page shown above. I got them for the Mercedes crowd, but just got the word that you folks might want them too. Some of you have already contacted me and cleaned out my current stock. I've got more on the way next week. Feel free to holler if you want some.

Info On the Peel and Stick decals coming out versus the current water transfer type...I'm getting the peel and stick as well just to have them on the shelf...

Quote:
Jim - just an FYI. The decals were mailed yesterday. What you are getting
are the original type water transfer types. As mentioned on the webpage,
they can wear like iron or they can begin to degrade and chip off in time.
It's hard to tell why some last forever and others don't. These are the
last of the original type stickers that I know of. The new ones will be the
peel and stick kind. Although not original (and will anyone ever notice or
care?), they will likely last a lot longer in most cases. So, if you want
to keep the ones you've got, that's fine. If you want to trade them in for
the more durable peel and stick ones, just return them to me and I'll
replace them with the peel and stick ones when I get them. If you want to
also order some of the peel and stick ones, let me know. At this time I am
not positive when the new ones will be available, but I would guess within a
month.

Len

I got my decals in todays mail.....Anyone want to measure the leftover residue on their Old coil so we can get the placement close to original?
I know its a bit ocd but...................................................... Very Happy just want
to make sure I'm using the "correct" benchmark........

Len I'm guessing you'll be popping back in to pay us a visit - maybe you can just post a heads up when you get the peel and stick in.....

Bosch water transfer decals for the coil have arrived. Contact me at [email protected] if you want one/some. No word yet on when the new peel and stick version will arrive.

See http://www.mbzponton.org/valueadded/other/decals.htm decal #14 for what we're talking about.

I posted a separate message about two hours ago about the decals being available with a subject of something like "Bosch coil decals," and it is now gone. Did I violate some kind of "For Sale" rule or something? I was just trying to do you all a favor and let you know they were available. My apologies if I did something inappropriate.

Technically, yes, you boke a rule about posting items for sale Shame on you . I got the gist of what you meant and that you were posting information rather than soliciting buyers, per se. However, in all fairness to the moderators, they have to enforce the law as it's written - so I was waiting to see if it got deleted. No worries, though. I think everyone who was interested now knows of you through this post.

Thanks for the clarification Kent. No harm intended. I guess someone other than me needs to direct attention to where the decals are.

you could post a classified in the "Type 1 bug 58-67 parts" section if you want to.

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/cat.php?id=27

It don't cost nuthin, 'sep a little time on your part. However, considering your limited supply, you likely have all the business you need already.

Your call though Wink

I got one of the water transfer decals and below is a pix of it applied on the short black Bosch coil. I put it in the exact spot the old one was, because there still remained the remnants of the old one, and I simply put it on top of it.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Here's another picture of the all-original 1967 VW with 6,012 miles, for engine compartment reference.

http://lymanhall.smugmug.com/gallery/5776454_aSzBE#357534893_tFTH2

As far as I know, the stickers/decals on this engine are as they left the factory.
