What adhesive is used to adhere the stickers to various parts? What should I use to re-apply a windshield washer bottle sticker? |

Never had a sticker where? Also, the tin should not be glossy. That will look like crap if you want to maintain a stock look. The finish is more satin to semi. You are missing the factory spring clamps on the heat tubes to the oil bath . _________________ -Kent (BaT "daleallen")

Are there any places I can find a replica 12v stencil I can use, or do I need to try to hand paint it?

ha ha ha - Thank you. I was wondering, though, about the 12V stencil on the fan shroud in the engine compartment. It's painted on with white paint, and I'm unsure how to repaint it myself, after I repaint the shroud.
Perhaps I should just mask the stencil currently on there so I don't paint over it when repainting the shroud black. |

I made a new stencil of the markings on my shroud and repainted it after I painted the shroud.

Would a 1972 1302s engine originally have had Valve Adjustment stickers and the 12v and other stencils?
I could re-post this in the late model forum if it is better to do so. Thank you! |

I think stencils were common on all of the cars, to describe specific engine options, but the 12V was probably only for 67, as it was new that year and probably needed to make sure folks knew not to treat it like a 6V (how long would something not be considered new).
I'm sure they did have valve adjustment stickers, but I'm not positive what the spacing would be.
Let's see what others say here, and perhaps post it un a later forum if you don't get an answer in a few days. _________________ -Harry

Belated photo of 99% original engine bay (ca. 1975):
Sticker was original. Gas filter, STP smog sticker, and maybe the lack of the electromagnetic pilot jet are the only non-factory items. |
