Just saw this and was surprised to see a Notchback as the raffle car for the Central Coast VW Club! Jason Weigel's restored 62 is the prize, I think I might just have to buy a few of those tickets again this year
Here's that link to the 2005 raffle, the new tickets go on sale May 11th

Supply a link to the West Cost Classic, so the rest of us can get in on the raffle. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey

I would run the OG slotted wheels that are on it until I found some nice Cosmics for it. _________________ Frank

Erik G, I thought you were into other VW's now that you sold your notch. And Frank we know that you'd never get around to doing anything on it anyway. So I'm sure it will be the OG 1500 Club car for quite awhile. _________________ '68 Lotus White T34 automatic sunroof

Yeah, or cut the roof off it and turn it into a convertible. You could sell the un-needed glass to offset the cost. Then slam it and put on some different rims....yeah that would be cool. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

You guys are breakin my heart. If Erik won he would actualy own a T3 that worked and would sell quicker than 6 months If Frank won then he would actualy "own" a real 62 T3 If Martin won he would need to take it apart just to see how a correct early car is put together Tram, you da man. Soak it in like a fine wine.
I am totaly joking with you all as my remarks are based on conversations not privy to the rest of the forum, as I know the brotherhood is having fun with my sorry ass! I had lots of fun building that car. It makes me truly aprciate what I have now. Cuz most of the crap on that car is made of unubtanium. But it did turn out nice and Im honored to still have my name tacked to it as a creator/restorer. Because like in the other thread the new owner may not like it being refered to as my car and want to personalise it down the road.
Truthfully that car is fricken rock solid! The cleanest early body Ive ever seen. Perfect correct pan. Any issues with metal were repaired withmetal. Who ever does win her will definatly have a rock solid car that should last for years. I hope to see it generate the most interest in the raffel ever and make someone very happy. Good luck and buy lots of tickets. _________________

Oh I almost forgot about Bob! If you won the car it would finaly push you off the fence over to the light side. I dont think even you would defile something so compleet. You derive pleasure from making a swan from a mangled mess. _________________

If I won it I would give it back to Jason. It would be like returning a lost child back to it's parents.

63Sunnotch, you wouldn't give it back... I sure and the heck wouldn't. I might let NB sit in it. 63SN, thanks for being the gay official... _________________ '68 Lotus White T34 automatic sunroof
