The first car that I got to drive... a hand-me-down 2-door 1979 Chevy Malibu. Had it for a couple of months till the tranny went. A real POS.

The first car I ever owned? A 1974 super beetle. At the time it was only 11 years old, not a speck of rust, sun roof and AC! Only lasted a few years before I trashed it doing reckless kid shit.

A 1971 standard bug that my brother sold when I was a student, and has been crushed a bit later. I hated him. I think I still do... Evil or Very Mad

Two at once 1973 Superbeetles a few months ago. First car of mine I drove? a '73 super beetle I got for free (rusty like mad) and put a crap motor in. All the girls at school love it Laughing (not that anything came from it). It's gonna get a motor that I got for free recently that I put different heads on (crossing fingers as to if they're good). The motor had no wear ridge in the cyls and was in a dune buggy, so I'm thinking it's got low useage.

1967 Type 1. I bought it 32 years ago for $300 and it had just turned over 100k. I drove it to college for two years and just about every other place one can't imagine regular cars going. The engine blew and I sold it for $150 as I had already purchased a used '72 Super.

I should have kept my first '67.

1974 Jeep Cherokee. It was rusty but had dual cherry bombs so it sounded good.

My first back in 1985, 1970 beetle for $85. Towed it home, this pic is the first time it ran. Fiberglass fenders, cragar's up front with some aluminum slots out back. Lasted two weeks then the motor let go. Swapped in a different one only to have the wiring harness burn up on me. It never ran again.
