My daily driver bus has a bent U plate. I ordered a pair from Pete tues 5/14/2013 around 11 central time. I paid extra for priority shipping. I called later that afternoon to ask if they'd ship out that day. I was told the would ship out the next day 5/15/2013. Today 5/16/2013 I still hadn't received a confirmation of them shipping so I called and was told they would ship out this afternoon. I did receive a confirmation late this afternoon. My bus is a daily driver, I only have time to work on it on the weekends. I paid extra(double) for expedited priority shipping so I could have them this weekend. If they were shipped out 5/14-5/15 I would have them by Saturday. Now I'm pretty sure they won't come by this weekend so I can install them. Now my bus is grounded till next weekend, negating the extra cost of priority shipping. Pete seems to be a good guy that sells good products but the shipping department is lacking. _________________ Yes Officer, the suspension has sagged a bit over the years.... |

Sorry for the delay in processing the card and shipping it out right away. Pete is the designer, the welder, the email corespondent, the customer service dept and the owner.
Fyi, I am on your side. We have two options to ship. USPS and UPS. No next day shipping is offered or any expedited services because we make everything at the time of order. Some items are on shelves but a majority are not. By pure luck, I had them on the shelf and invoiced and shipped and delivered them to the USPS store with in 3 hours. I hope they get there in time to spend some quality time with your VW.
If you have any further issues, please do not hesitate to call, email or message us. _________________ TheSamba members-only discount - Samba24

Pete,
Keep up the good work, sorry you are busy. I should have called to place my order and communicated my needs.
Thanks

I ordered a set of front air shocks and shocks for my bagged rear along with other misc bits. Everything came in on time and fitment was great. Email response to any question I ever had was 24-48 hours. I think they are a great company to do business with! I wish they had the chucks still for sale though. |

No worries Pete, I bought an 8 solenoid 3/8" valve body already. The build goes on and yes I still think your products are some of the best on the market. No brownie points either, I don't have a problem calling out crap for what it is.
Pete just keep providing good quality parts, the rest will work its self out. _________________ Jesse

I ordered a 4" beam, spindles, and shocks. Excellent quality stuff, no complaints from me. I bothered Pete with a bunch of noob questions, and he was nothing less than very helpful. _________________ Henry |

Some of the worst customer service EVER!!!
I met one of these guys at an event in ABQ almost a year ago and he explained that their billet distributor clamp did in fact work with 019's and 010's (as I found CB's does not).
I finally ordered one 11 days ago(rep provided me a discount card but of course it was invalid) but have heard nothing from this company. From the site is explains I will be sent a UPS tracking # when my order ships....I have yet to receive one. I have called and left messages for their 'order tracking' department to no avail...no call, no email, nothing.
I know I'm a nobody requesting a nothing part but c'mon!
My guess is the part is not on the shelf.....fine, let me know that. Or let me pick a different color if they are in stock. Or.....just something for fuck's sake!
I'm ready to just scrap it and try to make the crappy bugpack clamp work. But my guess is attempting to cancel an order with these yahoos is impossible and I'll be charged a restock fee for a part they don't even have in stock .
POOR POOR POOR POOR customer service!
P.S. Airkewld, please prove me wrong. I will happily come back here and eat crow if you can prove me wrong.
Ok...wait wait wiat. According to above a ways^^^^ they make the parts to order? Surely they don't fire up the CNC machine and run 1 distributor clamp through production. If you do, please hire me as an 'efficiency engineer' and I can be a part of the solution instead of bitching about the problems! |

Wow, send an email and apply some flame here and a response comes quickly but leave voicemails and you will wait forever.....
Here is what I got:
Good morning Larry, I hope your day gets better with this email. Your order shipped yesterday with USPS. We had a stock order that was delayed from FastFab who builds the clamps. It is very uncharacteristic of them, but we finally got it. You should see it shortly. My apologies for the delay. Have a great day.
Contact FINALLY. Am I happy my part is on its way?....absolutely. Will I ever place another order with them?......maybe.
If ever I do I will probably call, talk to someone live, place the order and make sure they are able to set an expectation of service.
An email 2 days after my order to let me know there was a delay would have been all I needed. But leaving me in the dark and refusing to return my calls is NOT the way to run a reputable business.......IMHO. |

Our new phone system VoiP was installed Tuesday morning with a personal tutorial on Thursday afternoon made us aware of 30+ voicemails that were left by our clients. You were one of them Larry. We have been in contact with you and them as of this morning with a better handle onto our new and more efficient phone system.
I want to stress that we are all human and are now going through a learning curve to be even better than we were. We have a bunch of different ways to get a hold of us. Email, phone, text, facebook, twitter etc, please don't be shy in using one of them to get a hold of us. We are here for all that choose to do business with us.
We hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy it working on your projects. Take care! _________________ TheSamba members-only discount - Samba24

Any of you guys who have ordered shockless narrowed beams, how long does it usually take from order placed to shipment. I understand the beams are built to order and all that stuff. Just wandering. _________________ 1977 Aircooled Flatwindow - Rosslyn The Taxi |

Good morning Phil, thanks for taking the time to post. We can ship chassis's all around the world, not a problem for Canada. Give us a call and we can chat about it. Enjoy your week! _________________ TheSamba members-only discount - Samba24

Met Pete this weekend at the Pomona Swapmeet and I will definitely be purchasing his products soon. He was very knowledgable and had a great presence. I bothered him with all kinds of newbee questions and he was more than patient with me and super down to earth. Even if this pushes my build out I will be purchasing his quality suspension and brake products! |

Just under a week ago I finally decided to order a Wide 5 Front Stage 2 Disc Brake Kit from AirKewld. I just want to let everyone know that Pete is a Liar!!! When I ordered the Disc Brake kit he told me it was take around 2 weeks and it showed up just shy of 7 days! That's shipping from Az to So Cal included. I want to thank Pete for under promising and over delivering on these bad a** brakes! I will continue to spend more money with Pete/ Airkewld. Two Thumbs up Airkewld! |

Hey Pete, this is Jason. We talked last week and I got some adjusters from you. Just wanted to let you know that I got them in under 2 days if we are calling a day a 24 hour time period. Thanks for getting them out so quick like you told me on the phone. You have no worries from me, I'll keep sending you my money in exchange for parts. _________________ Jason
