I would agree with that. 924 spare tires I believe.

You guys sure they are from a 928? I am looking to do a set of rims out of porsche spares on my bug, and am between this mentioned rim above and the alloy space saver (with the circular holes, not oval) from the 944 Turbo/993.

I have looked around and have yet to find a single one of these rims. If you have any idea besides wrecking yards to find one, please share.

Check with EASY. It's a Porsche used parts place in Emoryville, CA.

Did some more searching up on this rim on the double cab. Its not a 928 rim. It is indeed a 993 16" Space Saver. The 15" space savers are much more common but the 16" are much harder to come by. Commonly used on the outlaw Porsches built at Emory Motorsports.

Where I figured out about those rims, if not mistaken that double cab was/is owned by Ron Emory.

I had been searching for months. Finally figured it out. Just thought I would share.

I agree, it is a 993 space saver. I like them because the wheels have an anodized coating I believe.

They were really hard to find, so I ended up getting the cast 16x5.5's, powdercoated blue.

I have seen that style spare before but never in a 16". What year/models did those come from? How much heavier are they than the ones from the original post? There is a photo in the outlaw section of the emory site with a car running these rims but blacked out. Looked sweet. I could tell from the photo that they were bigger than 15's but had never seen a set like that.

Let me know a little bit more about them. Weight/Offset/Availability.

Later

Cruise ebay and you will see that the wheel design is offered in 15, 16, 17 and 18(?) inch sizes and different widths. I believe that the wheel sizes may have the same part nos. to add to the confusion. This cast aluminum design is by far the most common you will see on ebay. The cheapest one I got for $40.

The adapters are 25mm, from Loogy. See threads for more info below

Here are some threads I posted in about the wheels:
