Notice how I put VW in the subject and not just put Thing only. That might not be a good idea <grin>
Anyway, I clicked on some of your gallery buttons in messages you all leave to see if I could see what all your VW Things looked like but it seems not many of you have posted pictures of your Thing. Some of you regulars like Radioman, Captain Spalding, etc... I would love to see your rides. Why not post a picture of your ride for us all to see.
Here is a new picture with me and the previous owner the day I purchased it from her. Travelled all the way to Los Angeles to pick it up. Was a fun and interesting strip. The white wall tires are now gone and replaced with more stock looking tires. Still has the pink interior though. <grin>
By the way, would be nice to see you next to your Thing in your pictures also so I can match up a face to all my new Thing friends.

What you have to put between those /IMG functions is a web site URL that has the picture. The URL normally would end in .JPG so you need the actual link to that image itself.
Hope that helps.

i thought that might be the problem. I do not have any pictures on the web in that format. here is a link to a local vw club website. mine is the yellow one.

Well here is mine with my wife. This was taken about 14-16 years ago before the hood was bent, the top rotted away and the 1776 was installed.
You would think that by now I would have replaced the missing passenger sun visor but I haven’t yet. And oddly enough I don’t have a picture of me standing next to my Thing. One of these days I might get around to it.

Hopefully, those posting pictures have one that shows them next to their Thing so we can match faces to forum names from now on, no matter how ugly some of us are. hehehe

This thing isn't as nice looking as the rest of the ones posted but what the hell we like it anyways.
This picture was what it looked like just after the house paint camo job was removed from it, and before the top was installed.
The last pic is one of my favorite pictures. It was a fun drive! |

In my gallery are some pics as the car is going back together, getting ready to put a dropped front end under it.
Finishing up the turbo, but changing to a draw-thru 4 barrel system, instead of the blow-thru.
Thanks Peter |
