This is an interesting topic, I know where a NOS Behr scoop is, still in the original box. It is sitting in a Non-specific auto accessory collection gathering dust. Most of the collection is old American car stuff, but he has some cool italian and german car stuff mixed in. I always wanted to ask him what he would sell it for as it is the only VW accessory he has outside of a 7-day clock. I see the guy once or twice a year, maybe next time I should just ask if he would part with it.

Well, it looks like either ambulance middle scoops and some Behr ventilator were common in tropical Colombia.

My 54 Panel came with the scoop (maybe dealer installed, who knows) and hints of what should be the opening in the middle roof... both installed in the same car? Maybe birth certificate give us a clue further on.

Thanks to German Rivera for those historical pictures!
