Were those 16s a set constantly offered or just a random pair?

I'll look forward to seeing them especially on a single cab. I may get a set to put on mine.

What about a set of empi 5 spokes? Any pics on a bus preferably a single cab. Man, now I have a choice to make between these and the BRM's. My next question is about the offset.
BRM's = 6+
Empi 5 Spokes = 12
Original Steel Wheels = Need help here. What are they?? Question

These seem like a good deal

Last question, how long have the empi's been available for later buses??

I just bought an '88 Westy which the previous owner had shod with a set of these BRMs and P205/60R15 94H tyres. The first thing baby needs are new shoes ... especially since I'll be flying to pick-up the Westy and then driving it 4500kms with my 3.5-yr old aboard. Very Happy

While these BRMs are pretty things, upgrading to a 15" rim without increasing the width by 1", or more, seems to be a bit of a waste of effort - a 6.5" rim would have made more shoes available. Essentially, my choices are limited to 195/70, 205/65, and 205/70. However, given these wheels have an ET of 12 (~ half of the stock wheels), the wheels ride much further outboard and there's a chance the 205/70s might rub.

Is anyone running 205/70R15 on a set of these BRM wheels? ... on a Westy?

I'm leaning towards a set of Nokian Hakka C or WR C (which normally stand a little tall) and would prefer to go with 205/70 if I can.

Once I get this Bus home, I'll find new "old" wheels for it (likely CLKs)... sadly these BRMs won't work on either my '66 Westy or '74 Thing as both are wide-5 ... stay tuned, there may be a set of BRMs available this autumn.

At least at a 17" diameter, I would presume the width is 7" and the offset would be 35 - 40.

The ET of 12 and the narrow 5.5" width makes the 15" less appealing.

My question still stands: Is anyone running a 205/70R15 tyre on a set of the 15 x 5.5 BRMs?

I'm not aware of anyone running that combination and I know that you didn't ask for an opinion, but I think you would be much happier with the ride quality of the Nokian eNTYRE or WRG3 over the WR C or Hakka C. The load rating if the eNTYRE and WRG3 is plenty and the ride quality is much, much better than those others.

Considering the challenges that the offset of those wheels present, I would be more inclined to go with a 205/65R15, which is available in both the eNTYRE and the WRG3 in a 99XL.
