There are 25 of the round end stakes labeled stahlurant. There are 2 of the crude pegs. They are set on the storage bag, needs cleaning. There are 2 of the tie down cords-labeled Campano. Added later or came with tent? Also, the white rings are inside and outside of the changing room door. Is that for tieing it open? I am surprised they survived, I don't think it was used much. I'll sort the poles this weekend. This is fun.

I recently washed the black mold out of a old tent by using dry powder laundry soap, it worked great. I just tossed the soap all over the material and got it wet and broomed it around then hosed it off. Came out spectacularly white. I hate that black stuff! _________________ 1971 Deluxe Sunroof Bay 1905 stroker, dual idf40's, 74mm Scat forged crank, engle 110 cam. CB 044 heads, AutoCraft rockers, chromoly push rods

I am trying to assemble the tent frame for the SO23. Could someone post pictures of how the corners away from the bus go together? Also, how the two poles that go down diagonally, one to the front bumper. Thanks. |

Looks like you have a complete stake bag; everything but the plastic round fastners looks original to me; never seen those before.
Make sure you set your poles up so you can dry out the tent canvas after washing. _________________ WANTED:

What tent or awning would an SO-44 have?
How does it attach to the bus or would it be a drive away style?
Anyone have pictures? |

So a big top tent. What about the awning? Could that replace the tent and attach to the bus or does it attach to the tent like here

I think the awning, which is also the front door, is attached permanently. _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

That Dormobile has extra tent mounts closer to the center of the bus roof, are those not for a Foyer tent? They look modified to fit next to the dorm roof. _________________ 1971 Deluxe Sunroof Bay 1905 stroker, dual idf40's, 74mm Scat forged crank, engle 110 cam. You could have ordered either the newer Big top tent or the earlier style as both were available in 66. Most Dormy's I've seen have the earlier style tent with the roof mounts like the one Easy posted. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

Wasn't there a pop top option for SO-44. Still a big top tent for those? Would the tent be similar to an early bay big top? |

Yes, much more common than the Dormy top. If the Big Top tent was ordered it would have been like the type in your photo (poles on inside, no floor) not the bay window type.

I don't see any mounting brackets on the roof or bumpers of this one?
How would a tent attach, or are the brackets missing maybe. |

Ordered either with no tent or the Big top which uses the tent rail that attaches to the gutter. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

To clarify (as that red bus is a late split camper) the raingutter tent boot channel would have been a clamp-on style, not riveted all along the gutter. Hence it's easily assumed absence. Riveted ones tend to stay on their host bus since their removal leaves 18 little holes. _________________

I'm trying to sort through my stuff & hoping to get a little help...
I'll give a little summary of what I've read & please clear me up & help fill in the blanks...
Foyer:
(10) circle eye stakes (STAHLDRAHT)
No guy lines
No sheet metal stakes
Privy:
(25) circle eye stakes (STAHLDRAHT)
(2) 220mm sheet metal stakes
(2) guy lines stamped "Made in Germany" on the big part
Big Top:
(26) circle eye stakes (not STAHLDRAHT???)... when did it end?
(4) 300mm sheet metal stakes
(7) 220mm sheet metal stakes
(11) guy lines stamped "Made in Germany" on the big part
When did "Made in Germany" drop from the big part of the guy lines?
What are "A" and "B" appropriate for? & how about the 1960 curly-Q one?
1960 SO-23
Aug. 66 SO-42

My foyer has 10 of the stakes you show as "C". _________________ 1971 Deluxe Sunroof Bay 1905 stroker, dual idf40's, 74mm Scat forged crank, engle 110 cam. CB 044 heads, AutoCraft rockers, chromoly push rods
