Good eye, for sure lowers the value, poles are more difficult to find than canvas.
The tent does look unused since there is no apparent wear on the stake holes. Should fetch a goodly sum.

Here's what the poles should look similar to. Take special note of the top two poles which give the "peak" to the tent setup

Thanks Crofty for confirming the originality of those foyer tent bags.

So what are we looking at here? Westfalia? Sundial? Other Euro. Love that crazy rack & ladder. Cool

I recall someone not to long ago asking about an awning extension like this maybe for sale?

I found that same pic on the web a few years back. My guess is a homegrown addition.

That is a Westfalia core tent and what looks like a Westfalia camper? Right?

Yes, appears to be a RHD tent as well.

That tent extension reminds me of the tent that Randy Slack has with his Westfalia camping trailer..

His tent is absolutely original and uses a handful of the adjustable "bathroom poles" iirc.

The Slack's caravan tent and others I've seen only have a single window on the opposite end of the changing room:

There was this photo posted a while back that looks sort of similar to the photo in question but I don't think this was ever confirmed to be a Westy caravan tent:

so42 Big Top question

It struck me a while back when I was disassembling my tent that I might have been missing something. My tent poles are missing tape in spots so I can't say that it has always been assembled the same way since I have owned it but this time I questioned something I took for granted. I assumed that 8 and 4 and 7 and 5 were the same piece but seeing that they are differently numbered I am starting to question that. Is it possible that 7 and 8 are meant to be towards the bus and 4 and 5 are meant to be to the outside. Can someone confirm or deny this for me?

Big Top and Bay are made with built in top tilt-away-from-the-bus so mixing the numbers will compound a mismatch.

The tent is, but are those poles bent in a way that it even matters? Please enlighten?

Tomorrow I'll pull some out and put a protractor on them. Since the height is dependent on the pole adjustment you might be on to something. I was under the impression that even the "Tee" was angled up or down or maybe those are set by the spring hole catches.
