I'm considering buying his dual carb setup for my 40hp and I was wondering if anybody has tried it? I'm planning to run dual Solex 28's on his 40hp single port intakes and linkage.

I spoke with Danny and he seemed like a nice enough guy. He pointed out a couple of issues which aren't a big deal but I wanted to know how others worked around them.

1) If you use Solex 28 carbs, how do you deal with the two manual chokes?

2) Return spring for the linkage. There isn't a return spring for the linkage. Danny mentioned someone else had rigged up a return spring that worked well but wasn't very clean looking. I wanted to know what other people had come up with.

I think I'm going to get the kit from him but I'm always a little concerned when I spend money on parts that come with some known issues as minor as these are.

I was speaking with him and he told me he had a few sets left. The quality looks pretty good but I hate buying something because it's the only one I could find. Unfortunately the Speedwell and Okrassa kits are few and far between.

From what I gathered from talking to him, he cast a bunch of sets a while ago and has them ready to ship.

The linkage comes with the kit. He runs this kit on his bus with Solex 28 PCI carbs.

Danny told me the kit was $300.00 with linkage but without carbs or air cleaners.

I think the picture above is a kit that he spent time polishing. I stole the pic from the galley and the caption said something about it.

i think that is a little steep......

i had my mate fabricate me some sp manifolds, using the ends off a stock manifold.

had them powdercoated, just need to figure out a linkage, as i want to use twin 30 pict 1's........

I was thinking the same thing about the manifolds. I also like the height of the Okrasa intakes over these ones. These are quite a bit shorter.

For the linkage, I was thinking about trying type 3 linkage. I've got a couple of extra setups from my squareback I was going to play with. I have an oil filter mounted on the fan shroud that I have to work around.

The nice thing about making the manifolds is that I could use 32 PDSIT carbs like I'm running on my squareback. I'm very familiar with the carbs and have a few clean sets plus they have electric chokes.
