and thought of you guys...So, I stop at a yard sale today and there in a box is Judson Supercharger! Coincidence?

He had a price of $125? That seems a little high, but since I know nothing, here I am. I thought maybe $50? I don't even have an AC, only frigin Vanagons....Any comments on the value? I am not sure its even all there. Whats the thing that looks like a paint gun?

By the way The Samba is pretty cool, it may get me fired one day though.
I may even have posted this blurry pic correctly, Thanks

$125 is dirt cheap. Buy it.

Here is my yard sale supercharger. This is all that was in the box, it looks like I am missing the intake:

I have decided the thing that looks like the paint can from a sprayer is a paint can from a sprayer:

Here's a couple more of some pulleys, how about the welded on washer?

I probably will put it on the classifieds some time. Just thought someone might want to comment.

From tag: Spec #46031 pat 2740, thats all I can read.

Yes, missing quite a lot. Basically what you have is a Type 1 VW Blower (double pulley). A couple of steel non-Judson crank pulleys...the Judson one would be a double alloy one and a Marvel Oiler with a screw on tin can in place of the correct glass bottle.

If you paid $125 as you earlier said then fine. If you got it for less, well done but I wouldn't ask too much for it when reselling...maybe $250.

Thanks John, I quickley scanned your site, very interesting! I must now take the cover off and check the conditon of the vanes and rotor. I expect the worst.

I'm not out to make a killing, I just seem to have the sickness...mmm vintage...

Beautful Ghia BTW.

Now to find out what the distributor thats been in my garage for 20 years is...0 231 153 009 and its got blue paint???? Thats for another thread.

Thanks Dant.

The condition of the rotor is the most important factor. They usually look like this:

At the end of its useful life...the red line is the as new profile...you can easily see the wear.

A new one from Ricardo in the classifieds is around $400.
