I have been in vanagon heaven with no problems at all for the past few months. But now when my van gets all warmed up it starts acting weird. I will be driving and I will feel these little stalls when going down the road. It started happening every time I would shift but now it will happen when im just cruising. It got really bad once and I heard my afm start banging but that was two weeks ago after a lot of heavy moving and the banging has not occurred since. It has not been as bad lately but I have not been driving her that much or that long of a distance. I want to go camping this weekend and what to know if you guys have any ideas or things I should test and check.

Have you looked at the "usual suspects"?

Ignition system, Temp Sensor II, vacuum leaks and fuel pressure?

I was thinking that was a watercooled thing and that Matt was AC. Could be wrong though.

I was driving it today and it got really bad so I pulled over. I took a file to the inside of my distributor and filed down the junk to the copper then took it for a long drive and I think that did it. It works great now
