i understand your frustration, but if the title said 35-50 and the description said 25, it should have been an indicator that one of the prices were wrong... i personally would have asked for clarification to know the real price... but that's just me, not trying to butt in....(FTR, if i went to bestbuy to buy an item that was advertised @ 100 dollars and was tagged at 50, i'd offer to buy two...  ) |
Honestly I'd cut ISP West some slack here, there are very few companies selling vintage VW parts that are making serious money, most are just making an honest living or trying to. Keep in mind no vintage VW parts company has anywhere near the revenues, support staff, and product margins that Best Buy does and Best Buy is getting scammed all the time by customers. Ever wonder why Best Buy has one of the most stringent return policies? Plus the folks at Best Buy aren't ever going to remember you but vintage parts suppliers likely will.
We're all better off if we can just get a more than fair price for parts, plus ISP West seems to be one of the clear value players in this area, and given how difficult it is to manage lower margins they likely rely more on moving more product, so squeezing them a bit more for what might have been a small oversight on just a samba ad isn't exactly a classy move.
For what folks like ISPWest do and do well I'd pay the $20 extra in a heartbeat and do them a favor to let them know they should proofread their ad again to just avoid future confusion and wasted time. You never know if they would meet halfway on the difference or offer free shipping for the tip, just don't expect something and appreciate in the moment you did the right thing.
That said, I've bought many times from ISPWest, the stuff comes 3K miles east it seems just after I ordered it, never had one issue. |

just got another shipment of parts from ISP. These guys are great. Call them up, walk through what you need, they have it all in stock, get it in less than a week.
Great guys. My go to place for Type 3 parts. This is my 3rd or 4th order from them and I will keep going back for more. |

First of all.... the GooD
I ordered a License Plate Frame and they shipped it very fast and was exactly what I ordered.
The BaD...
I ordered carpet 14 days ago. I e-mailed 3 different times checking on the status and no one has ever returned my e-mail. I e-mailed both Anthony and Alex. When I ordered the above License Plate Frame, I even referred to my Carpet Order and no reply concerning the carpet but a quick e-mail with the PayPal address on where I can send payment for the License Plate Frame.
Needless to say, Discouraged with one order that I am still waiting for and happy with the other.
VWISPWEST... Please let me know what's going on with my carpet order from 2 weeks ago. Thanks |

i saw an add reading "repro steering wheels for busses, as good as original"
or something to that affect....so spent a few hundred dollars to get one!
received it quick, got a nice dvd, but the wheel was flexible.....no inner strength, and therefore, not as good as my original!
i contacted ISP, they said its not their fault...i have to take my problem up with the maker overseas and hope they change their product?!!!! end of story on their part

| I special ordered some mesh grey TMI seat covers without heat seams and Wolfsburg West horsehair pads through ISP and they showed up exactly how I wanted them. Can't wait to get them installed in our '66 kombi. I have been buying parts from them for 13 years and have never had a problem. Props go out to Alex & Anthony for the good service and continued support. |

Order some of the new fuch caps and some porsche drilled drums and everything arrived in great comdition and quickly. The caps look awsome.
I sent them to Al Reed to be chromed, then order an extra one from Athony and he shipped straight to Al for me. Easy to deal and would recommend to anyone.

Huge props to Alex and Anthony.
This was my first time dealing with them. They had the right part at the right price and it showed up at my door waaaaaay sooner than I would've expected. Packaging couldn't have been better - we're talking a T3 trailer hitch here, so it looked like a little bit of work went into it. Communication was smooth and professional.
Would gladly deal with them again, anytime. Can't wait to get it prepped, painted and on my Variant where it belongs.
