And all the other chassis grease fittings. What today is similar to what was used back then? Or does anyone have a shop manual that specifies what to use, or an owners manual? Thanks !

rakeyworth,
Unless I missed something along the way, grease is grease. I don't think it much matters what you use to grease the K/L pins, etc. synthetic or regular. What is your concern???

My concern is that it has now been over 10 years and I still don't have a good answer.

Well, if you haven't greased the car in 10 years it won't make any difference now. Laughing

I haven't had any problem using the tubes of grease from the local parts place.

I have no idea if it's same stuff as 50 years ago.
I assume it's better since oils and other types of things are all better now.

I've always just used Castrol multipurpose wheel bearing and chassis grease.

this is what you want or any similar multipurpose grease.

Do not go with Molybdenum based grease as it is incompatable with lithium based grease. The Moly based grease is easy to spot because it is black where as Lithium based multipuropse grease is greenish, blueish or yellowish.

If you grease it and dark black grease comes out of the seals them someone used Moly based grease at some point.
