Hello,

I have opportunity to buy a complete 1200cc VW engine with a 1400cc Okrasa kit. I make the deal but I have just a big problem ! This engine was on a Bug and my car is a 63’ Karmann-Ghia Type 14 convertible or you know it’s impossible to closed the engine lids !

In fact, I want to find the two parts wich are between the filter and the carburator (see my picture in the yellow circle). It’s now impossible to find this NOS parts in Europe. I want to buy it or rebuild them. If someone can send me the original measurements of this parts, it will be great !

Thank you in advance for your help !

Regards, Cyril

please, only post a single thread on any given topic.

I believe you're looking for the angled aircleaner tubes. Contact Joe Ruiz (aka mr. okrasa) he should know who has reproduced them. OG units will be a tough find.

Pour notre passion en commun, mon aussi j'ai fait une acquisition intéréssante, il s'agit d'un KG de 59 entièrement d'origine.
Aucune resto n'est à prévoir et il roule super bien.

Damned French that I am! Wink

As 70140 mentioned my reply was not directly in relation with the Cyril’s topic. It is only because I know him well from Paris, my last French location.

Cyril, concerning your question, I suggest you also to contact wob specialities in Belgium. I know he reproduces old speed parts, probably he has this kind of parts in stock.

You also have the okrasa registry.

And Joe Ruiz, here is one of his add:

Can't you just measure you're carbs and filters and have a muffler shop bend some pipe for you?
