Is there any better than 104 from WW or 94 from CIP1?
I already searched BTW and am looking for the 62 and earlier version. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

Just head on over to Transporterfest in Mass. next weekend (Sunday, Sept. 25th) and suck up to Stan who runs the show. He'll be selling manuals for his boss, Bentley at significant discounts. But $94 is about as cheap as you can get it for online. _________________ Founder and Chairman Emeritus, ECMSAS

I've got some factory manuals but still use the Bentley manuals out in the workshop......nice not having to be sure my hands are clean before I use it. |

Yeah they're definitely in nice condition sans the drool jerry.t left on them after looking them over. How do you get drool off of pages? _________________ - JHC de Tejas - |

If you're not in a hurry, check eBay. I scored a nice original 59 Transporter Shop Manual (59 and earlier, although it had 60 inserts in some of the sections) for around $40 with shipping. _________________ "Gotta love the drops!" |

The '63-'67 Bentley Bus manual has specifications for the 1200 Transporter with 230mm brake drum diameter, as well as the 1500 Transporter with 250 mm brake drum diameter. This manual will also be better if you are looking at factory upgrades (.i.e. from '63-on) or are running a 1500 single port motor.
The brake sections in the '50-'62 manual are divided into "Through December 1953" and "From January 1954".
Hope this helps. You can send me a pm if you have any other questions about the two manuals.

Hey don't forget right here in the samba classifieds, literature section.
I got a '63 bentley about a year and a half ago for sixty bucks. It was clean as a whistle. Check it out from time to time, great stuff in there. |

Bought mine from amazon. Buggers sent me a type 3 one by mistake. They replaced it but it cost me 20 bux to ship it back. They credited me 5 bux so I still got screwed for 15 bux. Should have just bought it local I guess. |
