BTW VDubTech...I think asap means as soon as POSSIBLE, maybe for me it was POSSIBLE to get a hold of the funds only this morning, or maybe POSSIBLE means monday, or tuesday....that's what POSSIBLE means to me......
I know we all like to have things done instantly,as soon as we think about them, but sometime this is not POSSIBLE........ _________________ that's not patina, that's fucking rust man!!!!

Full refund, plus interest via paypal this morning....I hope you have time to chime in soon George, everyone is waiting.....
Payment To George Stoffer Nov. 29, 2008 Completed Details -$3,872.00 USD $0.00 USD
Payment Sent (Unique Transaction ID #60220667H2511073K) |
Yes, I wish to publicly verify that Gerson did, indeed, take care of the refund this AM via PayPal and took care of the extra fees and charges I incurred, INCLUDING my credit card interest that I was perfectly willing to "chalk up to experience".
Sorry this wasn't posted sooner- I was exhausted after a very busy week/ holiday, slept in, and just now logged on. For the record, this is the first post I've made on any forum today.
I have often said on these forums that the true measure of a vendor is how he handles problems when they arise. I think that Gerson has proven his mettle. While I'd far rather have had the gates in a timely fashion without the unnecessary anxiety and/ or drama, I think that Gerson has proven here that he is, indeed, well- meaning, and his mistakes and missteps are just that and no more.
As I said in a previous post, I really hope, Gerson, that you can get your employees and other logistics under control because this hobby needs you.
Thank you again and all the best to you. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

No need to get pissy, it was a simple question. I wouldn't promise a customer a refund and then try to come up with the funds to make it, I would do it the other way around. Regardless, I'm glad to see that this has been resolved and you proved yourself to be a stand up guy in this small community. Thank you for all of your hard work and your amazing panels, I've heard nothing but good things up to this point. Let me know when you get your line of Bay Window Panels up and running, we can certainly use a quality product for our Buses as well. |

this post will be viewed as stirring the pot, but I am genuinely curious:
Gerson -- can you explain the business model you are using (or were using, if you have since changed your practices) in this situation? You accepted payment, including shipping, for a product you did not have (your own admission). You do not notify the customer (who has paid in full) about this until he is forced to publicly voice his concerns. You sent the customer erroneous information (either knowingly or not) about when he was going to receive the product.
I understand that you want to deliver top-quality panels, I understand that you have been doing so for sometime now, and I also understand that the majority of your customers speak very highly of you. I do not want to take away from the positive things you are doing, but am sincerely curious as to how this could happen?
I am not looking for a crucifixion here, I am not looking to drag you through the mud -- but I find it hard to believe that things simply 'got away from you'... _________________ póg mo thóin

People, sometimes things happen, sometimes a situation gets out of control, sometimes you ¨drop the ball¨etc.etc.etc....I am only human I make mistakes, I also take resposability for those mistakes, which is what everybody should do, but most do not do....if you guys wish to crucify me, that´s ok, if you guys want to judge me, that´s ok to, it´s all part of doing business, like I said before, and I will say for the last time, I am not going to explain myself any further, ......Everett, I think this thread should be locked, or done away with, there is nothing positive being gained from keeping it going...just my humble opinion......thank you..... _________________ that's not patina, that's fucking rust man!!!!

a vendor's feedback thread should never be locked or deleted. It is a valuable resource for future/potential customers. _________________

thank you
and I disagree that this thread should be locked or deleted -- it's been said many times, here and in other threads, that the true measure of a businessman is how they handle the negative stuff... _________________ póg mo thóin

Tram, I'm glad to see you got the refund.
At least you didn't have all that money invested in the stock market over the last month and a half. _________________ www.DenverWildlifeControl.com |

I recently swapped some OG sheet metal for new pieces with Gerson and am very happy. Gerson has a quality product, is a generous person and is nice to deal with. |

I don't have my metal in hand yet (DHL left a "sorry we missed you." sicker). However, I can't believe how fast the metal got up to Oregon from Bogota. Shipped on the 26th and here on the 29th. And the shipping was rediculously cheap! Freakin amazing! I swore DHL quit servicing here in the states. What's up with that?

I just received the following parts from Gerson for my 1960 DC: Front Floor, Cargo Floor, Rockers, Heater Tube, and the Rear Gate. I can tell he's VERY Busy but he got me all those part in just a couple of weeks. Now I'm waiting on a rear corner and passenger back door rocker. I just ordered these parts. GOOD JOB GERSON, KEEP IT UP!!!!!! _________________ DLK |

I was in the middle of ordering parts from Gerson two weeks ago and suddenly he seems to have fallen off the face of the earth. I've sent multiple emails and phone calls since then and No answer. Is this normal?
