Fuck!
I need to order some exhaust studs and CIP1 is the only damn place that has em. I need two of them for a grand total of 13 bones. The damn website wont let me check out until I have 25 buck worth of shit.
God Damnit! I dont need 25 bucks worht of shit from them. If someone else had the studs Id order them. I fucking hate CIP1.
BTW, if anyone knows where to get 8mm to 9mm step studs for a type IV head please let me know. Id appreciate it.

Guess you will have to wait till something else breaks, then tack that onto your order to reach the $25 level. |

Call them ...they'll process the order the old fashioned way. Of course they'll probably charge you another $15.00 for shipping. |

Thats what sucks. The only thing my bus needs right now are 2 step studs. Thats really it. Ive had problems with them before and havent ordered from them in a year or two. I think i found another place that has them but the minimum order is 20 bones. _________________ 72 Super Beetle

CIP1 great to order from. Free shipping. 10% internet orders. The parts are boxed and taped well enough to make it to me in one piece.
Compared to some of the others they are great. _________________ The honey-do list put my project on hold....... |

Thanks anyways. I looked around and most places I deal with only had them in the shorter type 1 sizes. German supply had them for $10 CAD. They were more expensive than CIP but ill be damned if I order shit from them (CIP) again. _________________ 72 Super Beetle

Glenn, what kind of parts do you stock? Do you have a parts store out there on Long gIsland? I'd love to find a place closer to me to get parts from. I mail ordered about $12k in parts in the last year. I have a local place but they are hard to deal with. Thanks. _________________ The honey-do list put my project on hold....... |

No parts store. I just keep alot of the little stupid things like brearing dowels, endplay shims, studs, distributor drive thrust washers, valve cover gaskets, gasket sets, engine hardware kits and other misc stuff. All are small and would have to be mail ordered. _________________ Glenn

Good to know. Long gIsland is too far a hike for parts..but waiting 8-10 days for stuff from the west coast is tough sometimes. Thanks for the info. _________________ The honey-do list put my project on hold....... |

I've never had a problem with them and I have spent a lot of money there. All the orders have come from Canada so far (their other location is in Washington). If you got one from Cali it was probably a drop shipment.
I have had problems with some other places though... _________________ 1973 Volkswagen Beetle never ending project |
