Throttle? Choke? Heater cables?

Probably not a choke on a 66. Trace it back to the front. See where it goes.

probably not a kill knob, likely for a choke cable (you won't need with later motor) or fuel tap (if the bus didn't orig. come with a gas guage)

where is the knob located?

what year is bus?

Gas heater? Is it a switch or a cable?

its a cable that runs all the way to the engine hatch door pretty much. its pulls in and out like the manual choke in the beetle. but i don't think its a choke.

Oh shoot dude. That m-code 077egrest. It is for the ejection seat. Laughing

Or... it could be m-code 007 for the oil slick.

Honestly I haven't seen one like that before.

I would hope so. It wouldn't be pretty if it didn't.

It's for a gas heater which doesn't look to be there anymore. Do you have a hole in the firewall on the drivers side?

I'm with Stan - looks to be a gas heater activator.
Although I like the oil slick suggestion!
