Idf rebuild question...

Are these interchangable? 48 idf.

The gasket on the left came out of the carb. The other one from a stash of old gaskets at my local VW shop. He couldn't tell me if the large hole in the center would make a difference. Everything lines up, but it leaves the fuel bowl open between the jet holder/emulsion tubes. Has anyone used the open style gasket?

The open one comes with all the new rebuild kits and is what I use on all my IDF rebuilds. You should be fine using either style gasket.
