sliding door lock is stuck, door will not latch.

This just failed suddenly. Had to tie the door shut.
I read a few sliding door threads but it seems thay my problem is different. The inside lock lever is just frozen in the down position.

Check out the circlip holding the bowden cable on at the back of the door, that is what kept mine from operating one time. I bought a circlip at the hardware store and popped it on and was good to go....

Was about to dive in and take it all apart when I noticed that the lever was bent against the opening. Pried it away from the edge and it seems to work fine now.
